200,000 bitcoins found

Today we received the first fruits of our labor. As some might remember, on the 11th of March, we reported to the Court and Supervisors that 200,000 bitcoins supposedly linked to Mark Karpeles and Mtgox were being moved. The supervisors of the bankruptcy procedures were completely unaware of what was going on at MtGox/Tibanne. Before our report, they just let Mark do whatever he pleased under the assumption that he was acting in good faith. This forced MtGox to formally answer to our concerns, and stopped them cold. On Thursday evening, we received a call from the Supervisor that MtGox submitted their reply to the court. Unfortunately the court was already closed and friday is a national holiday in Japan, so we won’t know the answer until monday. However, in the meantime MtGox did a press release where they admitted they suddenly ‘found’ 200,000 bitcoins https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20140320-btc-announce.pdf We can only suspect that they came forward because the answer they gave to the Court will reveal exactly the same. We are also fairly confident that those coins were never gone and that Mark simply had to give in to the pressure put on him. I would like to thank everyone for the great investigative work they did to bring this information forward. We also had some very brave people report a lot more criminal behaviour that went on. We are now pushing for a formal investigation of everything we received.
